The Safemove has been developed with practitioners and allows radiotherapists to position their patients far more precisely than has been possible until now. Positioning patients for laser precision has always been difficult and achieving that specific position can be uncomfortable and awkward for the patient and extremely hard, tiring and heavy work for staff.
It can result in potential skin damage to patients and injury risk to staff. However, by placing the Safemove under the patient (breast or pelvic areas), staff can use the straight and/or curved handles to much more easily re-position their patients to line up precisely with the lasers.
